Dosing
How to use it
How much Normal formula goes in a gallon?
1 scoop per liter, or 4 scoops per gallon (3.785 L) of water. That delivers 2,000 mg sodium, 1,000 mg potassium, 90 mg magnesium, and 180 mg calcium across the day. Stir or shake briefly — it dissolves cleanly within a few seconds.
The intent is a single gallon you refill as you go. Sip throughout the day rather than drinking it all at once.
How do I use the Normal sachet (single-serve pouch)?
One sachet per 20 fl oz (591 mL) bottle. It's the same formula as the tub, scaled to a single bottle. If you're filling a 32 oz bottle, use approximately one and a half sachets; for a 16 oz bottle, about three-quarters of one sachet.
How do I use Quick Rehydrate?
Tub: 1 scoop per liter or 4 scoops per gallon. Sachet: one per 20 fl oz (591 mL) bottle. Mix and drink. Quick Rehydrate is sized for single bottles or gallon serving — use the format that fits your day.
Per 20 fl oz sachet: 469 mg sodium, 117 mg potassium, 14 mg magnesium, 12 mg calcium, and approximately 2.4 g of dextrose — the small amount of glucose that activates SGLT1 co-transport in the small intestine, the same sodium–glucose co-transport mechanism behind WHO oral rehydration therapy.* Per gallon (4 scoops): 3,000 mg sodium, 750 mg potassium, 90 mg magnesium, 75 mg calcium, 15 g dextrose.

Can I use more than the recommended amount?
The doses are measured amounts, not minimums. More is not better here — sodium in particular needs to stay in proportion to your water intake. Stick to the recommended dose unless a clinician has given you specific guidance.
Can I use less?
Yes. For Normal formula, using a half-scoop in a half-gallon gives the same ratio at lower total intake. Scaling down is fine; the electrolyte ratios stay constant.
Taste
What does it taste like?
What does Normal formula taste like?
Water, mostly. There's a clean, subtle mineral finish — because real electrolytes have a presence. It's not sweet, there's no aftertaste, and there's no tartness. The citrate-based minerals give it a slightly smoother character than sodium chloride, and the formula's mild alkaline pH means none of the sour edge common in citric-acid mixes.
Honest answer: if you're used to flavored electrolyte drinks, this will taste quiet. That's the point.
What does Quick Rehydrate taste like?
Similar to Normal, with a barely perceptible hint of sweetness from the dextrose. It's not a sweet drink — roughly 2.4 g of dextrose across 20 oz is functional, not flavorful. Most people describe it as clean mineral water with a light, neutral finish.
Why no flavors or sweeteners?
Flavor systems require tradeoffs — citric acid (common in flavored supplements) adds tartness and raises acidity; sweeteners, artificial or natural, change the palatability profile and add ingredients. We'd rather give you a product you can drink all day without a strong taste getting in the way. It pairs with your existing water — it doesn't replace it.
The one exception is the dextrose in Quick Rehydrate, and that's there for a functional reason: SGLT1 co-transport requires glucose. It isn't sweetener — it's a transport mechanism.*

Storage
Keeping it fresh
My powder has clumped. Is it still good?
Almost certainly yes. The citrate minerals are hygroscopic — they absorb moisture from the air, which causes clumping. It's cosmetic. Break the clump up and measure normally; it dissolves the same way and the composition hasn't changed. To prevent it: keep the lid sealed tight, store the tub somewhere dry, and avoid leaving a wet scoop in the container.
How long does it keep after opening?
Use it within 90 days of opening for best quality. After that, clumping becomes more significant and moisture exposure accumulates — it won't harm you, but the powder may be harder to work with and consistency across scoops may drift slightly. Sachets are individually sealed and don't have this concern.
Sealed shelf life is pending co-packer stability data. Expiration date is printed on the label.
What's the sealed (unopened) shelf life?
Stability data is in progress with our co-packer. The expiration date on the package is the definitive answer; this page will be updated once the data is final. In the meantime, store sealed containers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
I mixed a Quick Rehydrate bottle. Do I need to drink it right away?
Not instantly, but don't let it sit in a warm car all day. Quick Rehydrate contains dextrose — a simple sugar — which makes a mixed bottle more hospitable to microbial growth if left warm for extended periods. If you mix it, drink it within a few hours. A sealed bottle kept cold is fine for longer. Normal formula has no sugar, so this doesn't apply to it.
Does it need to be refrigerated?
The dry powder doesn't require refrigeration. A mixed gallon of Normal formula is fine on the counter or desk throughout the day. A mixed bottle of Quick Rehydrate is best finished within a few hours if kept at room temperature — refrigerate it if you're saving it for later.
Ingredients & diet
What's in it
Is Normal formula keto-friendly? Can I use it while fasting?
Normal formula contains zero sugar and zero calories. It won't break a fast or affect ketosis. It's electrolytes and minerals — nothing else.
What about Quick Rehydrate — is it keto-friendly?
Quick Rehydrate contains approximately 2.4 g of dextrose per serving. That's a small but real amount of sugar — not zero. Whether that fits your approach to keto or fasting depends on your specific protocol and threshold. If you're strict about carbohydrates, Normal formula is the right choice. If you need faster electrolyte delivery and 2.4 g fits your day, Quick Rehydrate is designed for that.
Is it vegan? Gluten-free? Non-GMO?
The formula contains no animal-derived ingredients. All five minerals are plant- or mineral-source, and the dextrose in Quick Rehydrate is derived from a non-animal source. Formal certification documentation is in progress — this page will be updated when third-party verification is complete. If this matters for your specific dietary requirements, check back or contact us.
